To get rid of excessive cold and snow in winter season, many species of birds from the polar area take a journey to the tropical areas in search of mild weather. Comparatively Bangladesh has a very mild winter which is very suitable for the migratory birds. That’s why hundreds of species of birds from mainly Siberian area shift temporarily to Bangladesh and make habitat in the lakes and rivers. Usually from December to February is the time of bird migration in Bangladesh.
